Temple Thoughts - April 6, 2012

In Matthew’s gospel, Jesus’ ministry following his temptation in the wilderness is introduced with the prophet, Isaiah’s words (NIV):

The people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned. Matthew 4:16.  Matthew continues in vs. 17:  From that time on Jesus began to preach, ‘Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.’  This is the truth … that Jesus came to earth to be with us and to testify to God’s grace and redemptive power.  Do you feel him?  He is available at your invitation.

Dear God, we thank you for your Son, Jesus, and the grace that he offers us to become your children.  Amen                        -- Ray Cline
